Ela Township Day open house

Ela Township is hosting an open house from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at several locations including: Ela Township Hall, 1155 E. Route 22, Lake Zurich; the Community Center, 380 Surryse Road, Lake Zurich; and Historical Society, 95 E. Main St., Lake Zurich, followed by a township cookout from 5 to 7 p.m. at Knox Park in Lake Zurich. An "Electric Slide" is scheduled for 6 p.m. This family-friendly event offers free food, music, children's activities, touch-a-truck, information booths and more. Bring a nonperishable food item to help fill the highway department truck for the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. Each donation receives a raffle ticket for a chance to win a large flat-screen TV.
