Twilight Shuffle in Libertyville

The ninth MainStreet Libertyville Twilight Shuffle 5K run is set for 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4. The run through downtown Libertyville will be held rain or shine. Elite and recreational runners, first-time racers, families (children must be 9 on day of race) and jog stroller-pushers can take the 3.12-mile route. The 5K run is one of MainStreet's top fundraisers and draws nearly 1,000 participants. A post-race party is held at Mickey Finn's Brewery. Race admission is $40 adults, $30 youths (ages 9-17) by Aug. 28 and $45 adults, $30 youths after that date. Register online at www.signmeup.com/100163 through Aug. 31, 2016.
