Chicago woman struck and killed along Wisconsin highway
GENEVA, Wis. (AP) - Police say a 54-year-old Chicago woman was struck and killed while walking along a highway in Walworth County of southeastern Wisconsin.
Investigators say Jeanne K. Mulville-Rowell left the Ridge Hotel on Highway 50 on foot a short time before the incident, which was reported just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police say she might have stepped into the traffic lane before she was struck by an SUV.
Mulville-Rowell died at the scene.
The Town of Geneva Police Department says the driver was cooperative and submitted to a blood alcohol test. No charges are expected.
