Masked gunman robs N. Chicago credit union
A masked gunman robbed the Great Lakes Credit Union in North Chicago, FBI officials said Friday.
The robbery took place about 1:40 p.m. at the credit union's branch office at 2525 Green Bay Road, FBI spokesman Garret H. Croon said. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a black man wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and a black ski mask. He displayed a knife, Croon said, and then left on foot
"Thankfully, no one was injured. Our primary concern is for the safety and well-being of our employees and members," Great Lakes President/CEO Vikki Kaiser said in a statement.
Credit union officials said local police were immediately alerted.
