Say it ain't so, Joe Newton

I almost fell out the chair when I read this - York's Joe Newton to end his reign coaching the Long Green Line. He's now 87 and has been coaching track and cross-country since 1955 when I was in 7th grade.

He has decided to step down as the main coach and will be co-coach for the next 20 years.

I don't think Palatine competed with Elmhurst but I'm sure they were at the Palatine Relays and did quite well.
