Get in your order for Kiwanis Peanut Days

For the past 65 years, Kiwanis clubs throughout North America have been raising funds through Kiwanis Peanut Days. This year's event for the Kiwanis Club of Batavia is Sept. 23-25.

The club appreciates the contributions received in previous years from those interested in helping handicapped children, needy families, senior and youth programs in the community. The club supports programs like Batavia CHIP-In, CASA Kane County, Ronald McDonald House, Valley Sheltered Workshop and the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry.

While collecting on the street corners has been eliminated due to safety reasons, Kiwanis will gladly accept your donations through the mail. This year they are offering some new products in addition to the traditional roasted peanuts that are only available through pre-sales. They include: honey roasted peanuts, mini-pretzels, and Gummy Bears. These packages are great for Halloween trick-or-treaters and for a quick snack. Donations of all amounts are accepted.

Deadline for orders is Friday, Aug. 20. Forms are available at www.bataviailkiwanis.org.

Orders can be sent to P.O. Box 264, Batavia, IL 60510. Make your check payable to Kiwanis Club of Batavia.
