Ace Hardware bikers hit the road for Children's Miracle Network

Eleven passionate motorcyclists recently roared through more than 600 miles of Illinois and Wisconsin terrain for the ninth annual Motorcycle Miracle Mission.
The bikers raised funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, a charity that raises funds and awareness for more than 100 children's hospitals across the United States and Canada.
The Motorcycle Miracle Mission bikers, a mix of team members from Ace Hardware Corporation, Ace store owners and vendors, journeyed from Ace's corporate headquarters in Oak Brook to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where the Ace Foundation presented a check for $10,000 to the hospital. The $10,000 was donated by vendor partners, including $5,000 given by Milwaukee Tools, a Milwaukee-based company who supplies merchandise for Ace Hardware.
The group's goal was to raise money for CMN Hospitals and build awareness for the work the organization does on behalf of children nationwide. Over the past eight years, the Ace Foundation's Motorcycle Miracle Mission fundraising event has raised more than $300,000 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
"We are grateful to this year's team of motorcyclists for their generosity," said Kane Calamari, president of the Ace Hardware Foundation. "We are thrilled that these riders can pair their love for the road with an amazing fundraising cause. Thanks to this group of Ace corporate team members, store owners and vendors, especially Milwaukee Tools, more children and families in need will have access to the world's best medical care at Children's Miracle Network Hospitals," Calamari said.
Meg Brzyski Nelson, president of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Foundation, said she is very grateful for Ace Hardware's efforts.
"Funds raised from the Motorcycle Miracle Mission support all those extra special things that help us wrap around a child and family, such as videos and games to keep busy, interpreters to ensure clear communication and the fish tank in our lobby, a favorite destination of many patients. Additionally, funds support research to provide the very best care for kids, right here in Wisconsin," Brzyski Nelson said.
Ace Hardware has been a proud supporter of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals since 1991. Thanks to the generosity of Ace customers, retailers, vendors and team members, together Ace has raised more than $72 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the country.
