Next Ragdale summer performance

Ragdale, the nationally acclaimed artists' retreat at 1230 N. Green Bay Road in Lake Forest, continues its summer performance series Thursday, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. with Jazz Now curated by cellist and composer Tomeka Reid. Enjoy an evening of original jazz compositions performed by the international, collaborative string trio featuring voice, violin, bass and cello. Ragdale offers teachers and teaching artists a special tour of its historic campus at 6 p.m. and half-price tickets to the 7 p.m. performance. The performance takes place in the Ragdale Ring, an open-air performance venue. Off-site parking is available at the Deerpath/Oakwood city lots in downtown Lake Forest, a 15-minute walk to Ragdale. Free shuttle service to and from Ragdale begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $20 per person; $15 for students and seniors; $10 for teachers; and 12 and under free. Advance reservations at ragdale.org.
