Grain higher, livestock mostly higher

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Sept. delivery was 9.25 cents higher at $4.1240 a bushel; Sept. corn was 1 cent higher at $3.2160 bushel; Sept. oats was 1.50 cents lower at $1.8340 a bushel; while August soybeans gained 11 cents to $10.0140 a bushel.

Beef higher and pork prices were mostly higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle was .68 cent higher at $1.17 a pound; August feeder cattle was up .48 cent at $1.4805 pound; August lean hogs was down .05 cent to $.6765 a pound.
