Grain mostly lower, livestock mixed
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were lower Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for Sept. delivery was 3.25 cents lower at $4.07 a bushel; Sept. corn was 2.50 cents lower at $3.2240 bushel; Sept. oats was 3.25 cents lower at $1.93 a bushel; while August soybeans gained 2 cents to $9.9240 a bushel.
Beef higher and pork prices were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
August live cattle was .20 cent higher at $1.1695 a pound; August feeder cattle was up 2.03 cent at $1.4950 pound; August lean hogs was down .25 cent to $.6810 a pound.
