WBDConnect Event Offers Access to Big Business Opportunities for Women-Owned Companies

Connecting powerhouse women business owners and other diverse suppliers with Fortune 500 Companies is what it's all about at the Women's Business Development Center's (WBDC) 30th Anniversary WBDConnect event. From procurement to matchmaking to networking, WBDConnect is focused on expanding business partnerships, and is being hosted at the Skyline Ballroom, Allstate Arena, 6920 Mannheim Rd., in Rosemont on Tuesday, September 13, from 1 to 6:30 p.m.

Specialists in contracting, procurement and diversity from throughout the Midwest region will be on hand to lend their expertise to certified Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) and other diverse business owners. Featured WBDC partners will include Abbvie, Allstate, American Airlines, AT&T, BP, Cargill, CDW, ComEd, Express Scripts, General Mills, Monsanto, Navistar, Nicor, Northwestern Mutual, PepsiCo, Target, United Airlines, U.S. Bank and Walgreens.

The afternoon is filled with opportunities for fueling businesses forward! Looking to leverage capital? There's lender matchmaking for that. Seeking support on how to become a subcontractor? Attend the Pathway to Prime discussion. Round out the night with a dinner and WNBA game between the Chicago Sky and Minnesota Lynx.

WBDConnect is the first of two WBDC signature 30th Anniversary events. It will be followed by WBDCelebrate on November 15th, a celebratory soiree honoring advocates, achievers and accelerators who respect the past and are paving the way for the Future Forward. WBDCelebrate is sure to be a can't miss night at Wintrust Grand Banking Hall in downtown Chicago.

Cost to attend is $100 per person for all the afternoon sessions, dinner and the game, or $50 for just the Fireside Chat, dinner and game. Tickets will be available at the door based on availability.
