"Corin Sin" was the winner of the Aurora Public Library's eighth annual teen talent show and competition held Saturday, July 30, at the Copley Theatre in downtown Aurora.

Also known as Corinda Singphothignal to her classmates at Waubonsie Valley High School, it was Corin's third appearance in the talent show. She will be a senior this fall.

Aurora Public Library's teen committee planned and implemented the 10-act show with help from library staff and teen advisory board members. The teen committee includes communications manager Amy Roth and teen librarians Pat Schwartz and Hannah Sloan.

Emcee for the competition was Danielle Tufano, co-host of the "Mackay in the Morning Show" on 95.9 The River. Tufano is also The River's program director.

Judges were Shannon Scott, a competitor in the competition for five years, and Jonathan Hauser, president of the Fox Valley Orchestra in Aurora. Tony Camardo, Aurora Public Library paraprofessional, was the technical director for the show.

Special guest was Olivia Ports, the winner of the 2015 competition, who sang while the judges made their decision. She will be a junior this fall at Aurora Christian High School.

The performers ranged in age from 13 to 18 and represented eight area schools.
