Residents to donate gift bags to Elgin Police Department

Recently the residents of Geneva presented the Geneva Police Department with care packages to show appreciation of their support.

Kallie Haney, whose husband is a police officer in Geneva, and Renee Schouten decided to do the same thing for the Elgin Police Department.

They plan to present the 195 gift bags including items like Kleenex, chopstick, hand sanitizer, candy, gum, essential oils, gift certificates and coupons as well as donation check on Monday morning.

They currently have raised $2,500 and would love to reach $3,000 by the end of the week — $1, $5, $10, $20 any amount helps. To make donations, call Renee at (847) 363-8987
