Grain lower, livestock mixed
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were lower Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for Sept. delivery was 2.50 cents lower at $4.0340 a bushel; Sept. corn was 3.50 cents lower at $3.2220 bushel; Sept. oats was 2.50 cents lower at $1.97 a bushel; while August soybeans fell 1 cent to $9.95 a bushel.
Beef higher and pork prices were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
August live cattle was .63 cent higher at $1.1655 a pound; August feeder cattle was up 1.83 cents at $1.4638 pound; August lean hogs was up .20 cent to $.6885 a pound.
