Woman shot to death in Elk Grove Township

An Elk Grove Township woman was shot to death Sunday in the Willoway Terrace mobile home community, and the Cook County sheriff's office says it has a relative in custody.

Divina Salgado, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene around 1:45 p.m., according to Sophia Ansari, spokeswoman for the Cook County sheriff.

Ansari said a relative who lived at the same home is in custody.

She said charges are expected soon but could not release more details about the suspect. The shooting is being investigated as a domestic incident.

The mobile home park is in an unincorporated area, jut north of Oakton Street between Elmhurst and Busse roads.
