'James and the Giant Peach Jr.' coming to Lake Zurich

The Cricket Theatre Company held a dress rehearsal for their production of "James and the Giant Peach Jr." Monday at Lake Zurich Middle School North.

The production is directed by Dan Euker and Erin Adams.

Fifty-eight kids in grades 2-5 from the Little Crickets Company rehearsed the fantasy tale by Roald Dahl, which tells the story of James, an orphan who befriends bugs who live in a giant peach.

"Over the past eight weeks these kids have come a really long way," said Director Dan Euker.

Performances will be held Friday, August 5, and Saturday, August 6, at Lake Zurich Middle School North, 95 Hubbard Lane in Hawthorn Woods nightly at 7 p.m. The price of admission is $7.50.
