Arlingtones Perform for K-9 and Kare-9 Comfort Dog Conference

The National Conference of Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dog and Kare-9 Military Comfort Dog Ministries was held on Friday, July 29, at the Hilton Chicago/Northbrook Hotel.

Following presentation of the colors by the Glenview American Legion Post, the Arlingtones, an acapella chorus, sang the Star Spangled Banner followed by several other patriotic songs.

The Arlingtones are a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society which is sponsoring a "Living in Harmony" program during the current year. The Arlingtones were delighted to be invited to open this conference as their own way of sharing harmony with the community.

The chorus will perform at a similar event on August 22 to honor the military dogs and their handlers.

Information about the Arlingtones can be obtained from singingdoberman@aol.com or jkastens@comcast.net.
