SmithBucklin's McGury inducted into BizBash Hall of Fame
SmithBucklin announced that Carol McGury, executive vice president, event and education services, has been inducted into the 2016 BizBash Hall of Fame.
David Adler, CEO and founder of BizBash, a leading media company serving the event and meeting industry, presented the award to McGury and four other event industry veterans. They joined a distinguished group of Hall of Fame honorees who have significantly contributed to the industry.
McGury joined SmithBucklin in 1988 and now leads one of the most respected and engaged teams in the conference, convention and trade show industry. SmithBucklin's Event Services professionals apply leading practices to deliver powerful results through the creation and management of conference design, business model development, educational programming, participant marketing, site selection, registration, technology, logistics and attendee experience. Additionally, SmithBucklin professionals manage the trade show and sponsorship sales and fulfillment process to help create and implement strategic sales plans, identify new revenue opportunities, and develop and sustain long-term partner relationships.

McGury, an Orland Park resident, also serves on the PCMA Foundation board of trustees, Marriott Hotel Advisory Board, and Anaheim Advisory Board, and she is a member of the INCON (an international partnership of association and event management companies) Board of Directors.
