3 things to watch today at the Democratic National Convention
With Hillary Clinton now the Democrats' official nominee, the party will focus the last two days of its convention on trying to make the her case to voters. Wednesday brings some big names in that effort.
Here's what to watch for:
• President Barack Obama is scheduled to take the stage on Clinton's behalf. Will he try to make the case that a Clinton term is a third Obama term? Will he engage Republican Donald Trump directly or focus exclusively on Clinton? Will he calm Bernie Sanders' delegates boos?
• Tim Kaine is set to accept the nomination for vice president, putting the Virginia senator in the spotlight for a major national speech. Will he be overshadowed by Obama?
• Illinois' delegation breakfasts have included a lot of talk about the 2018 governor's race. Will that talk continue throughout the convention?
