Lake Zurich Citizens Police Academy

Lake Zurich police are accepting applications to the fall session of the Citizens Police Academy. The academy is an 11-week program with a series of classes and discussions that provide an overview of various areas of law enforcement. The academy is free and open to everyone 21 and older who lives or works in the village. Applicants will be subject to a background check. Applications are available at police headquarters at 200 Mohawk Trail or downloaded at lakezurich.org/police. The program is scheduled for Tuesday nights from Sept. 13 through Nov. 22.
