Property tax appeal seminar Thursday in Wheeling

A free property tax appeal workshop for residents of Wheeling Township will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at the Wheeling Park District's Community Recreation Center located at 333 W. Dundee Road in Wheeling.

Staff from the Cook County Assessor's Office will be available to explain the residential property assessment and appeal process, as well as provide one-on-one assistance for attendees appealing their property tax assessments. The last day for residents of Wheeling Township to file their appeals is Aug. 11. Hosts for the event are state Reps. Carol Sente and Elaine Nekritz.
