4 Indiana Appeals Court judges face November retention votes
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Four Indiana Court of Appeals judges will be on the November ballot for retention votes.
The four are Edward Najam Jr. in the First District, James Kirsch in the Second District, Terry Crone in the Third District and Patricia Riley in the Fourth District.
To help inform voters, a website designed by the Indiana Supreme Court's Office of Judicial Administration includes biographical information, video of oral arguments, and the ability to search decisions written or voted on by the judges. The website can be found at courts.in.gov/retention.
Indiana uses a merit selection process to choose and retain its appeals judges. Once appointed, a judge must stand for retention at the first statewide general election after the judge has served for two full years and then every 10 years.
