Mulholland, Real Salt Lake tie Earthquakes 1-1

SANDY, Utah (AP) - Luke Mulholland scored in the 64th minute to lift Real Salt Lake into a 1-1 home draw with San Jose on Friday.

Mulholland volleyed a chipped feed - over the head of two defenders - from Javier Morales past goalkeeper David Bingham.

Chris Wondolowski had poked home a corner by Simon Dawkins that deflected off a defender to give San Jose a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute.

Real Salt Lake is winless in its past six matches.
