Architecture firm hired for proposed Fort Wayne arena
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - A Denver-based architecture firm has been hired to produce designs and cost estimates for a possible arena in downtown Fort Wayne.
The Allen County-Fort Wayne Capital Improvement Board voted Thursday in favor of hiring Sink Combs Dethlefs Architects of Denver to outline how the arena would be used, produce designs showing what it would look like inside and out, and produce cost estimates.
The company will partner with local architectural firms Elevatus Architecture, Design Collaborative and Hoch Associates. The design work is expected to be completed in December and then used in evaluating whether to proceed with the project.
The cost of the work is $283,000.
