Intelligentsia Cup cycling series stops in West Dundee
Hundreds of cyclists raced through the streets of downtown West Dundee Wednesday during one of eight criterium in the 2016 Intelligentsia Cup.
Spectators stood along the sidelines of the 0.7-mile course to watch the races, which ranged from 30 to 90 minutes. The 350 cyclists expected to participate could be of various ages and abilities, from amateur to professional.
The West Dundee criterium was one of the most challenging and unique of the entire series, race officials said, because of its large hills and proximity to the Fox River.
