Wine-tasting fundraiser July 31 for injured wildlife

The Fox Valley Wildlife Center will hold its first wine-tasting fundraiser from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at Hickory Knolls Discovery Center, 3795 Campton Hills Drive, St. Charles.

Cost is $25 for tasting and appetizers. Wine expert Gretchen Wagner will bring 10 different wines for sampling. Included in these are a sparkling wine, a cordial and an ice wine.

PRP Wines is an international wine broker specializing in small, boutique wines from around the world. They cater to small groups, allowing everyone to learn about and taste the wines. All wines are delivered with a 100 percent guarantee of exchange if you aren't satisfied with your selection.

All proceeds from this fundraiser goes toward the care of the over 2,800 wild babies and injured adults coming into the wildlife center's care each year.
