Host of activities lure families to Northern Kane Fest
Participants enjoyed exercise, crafts, music and more during Saturday's Northern Kane Fest on the Fox in Carpentersville.
The event included a morning 2.2-mile Family Fun Walk along the scenic Fox River. Members of the group Friends of the Fox shared information on species, points of interest and fun facts.
Special craft activities were organized for kids, and several families took part in a pet parade and took chance to win a family canoe trip.
Music was provided by groups like Vessy Mink/Hot Noise, Urban Squirrel (Deluxe), Up Dog and Leaving Scarlet.
