Mundelein honors Joe De Vito

A longtime Mundelein municipal employee will get his own special day in the village as he prepares for retirement. July 29 has been proclaimed "Joe De Vito Day" to honor the town's deputy public works director, whose 38-year-career with Mundelein ends that day. Mundelein Mayor Steve Lentz announced the honor during Monday's village board meeting. De Vito and some of his family members were present.
