Atlantic City casino monthly revenue down slightly again

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) - Atlantic City's casinos saw revenue decline slightly in June, down a bit more than 1 percent compared to a year ago.

The eight casinos collectively won $216.5 million from gamblers, a decline of 1.2 percent compared to June 2015.

Through the first six months of the year, the city's casinos had won $1.25 billion. That's a 2.5 percent increase over the first six months of 2015.

Two of the eight casinos saw increases in June, including the Trump Taj Mahal. Workers went on strike July 1, but the casino's take for June was 13.2 percent higher than last June. The casino's take for the first six months of 2016 is 3.6 percent lower than in 2015.

Internet gambling in the state was up more than 40 percent since last year, to $16.4 million.
