Ribbon Cutting at the New Barrington Square McDonald's

The new Barrington Square McDonald's, located at 2270 W. Higgins Road, celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon, cake cutting and VIP party on Tuesday night, July 12.

It was a standing room only crowd at McDonald's. David Bear, owner operator, is proud to bring Hoffman Estates an upscale new McDonald's for the community to enjoy for years to come. At the VIP party David Bear welcomed friends, colleagues, Village employees, Hoffman Estates Chamber members, and representatives from the local schools for a special grand opening VIP event.

First and foremost important was a presentation made by State Senator Michael Noland. Senator Noland shared his story of working for the Bear Family in Elgin when he was a teen. Senator Noland even brought to the VIP party, the uniform he wore when he was employed by the Bears. Senator Noland also recited the Big Mac jingle for the crowd.

Mayor McLeod also spoke at the event and told David how thrilled they are to have him at this location. Mayor McLeod presented David Bear with a key to the city. Mayor McLeod also presented David Bear with a Community Partner Recognition Award. The award is in recognition of the Bear family and McDonald's for driving to create a family friendly atmosphere for all patrons and for giving back to the community through generous contributions of time and resources. David Bear was honored to have State Senator Noland and Mayor McLeod, to share in the celebration. Also in attendance was many Village Trustees, all the Hoffman Estates Chamber Members and many other Hoffman Estates community VIP's. Additional speakers at the event included the following: Jim Carras, McDonald's Chicago Region VP and General Manager and of course the owner, David Bear. The event featured complimentary McDonald's appetizers, and smoothies,and of course the cake. The event featured a special appearance by Ronald McDonald.
