Enjoy Tail Waggin' Tuesdays, Concerts in the Park this week

East Dundee will be hosting two popular summer events in one week - Tail Waggin Tuesdays July 12 at the Depot on River Street, and Concerts in the Park on Friday, July 15, at Lions Park. Both are free and family friendly.

From 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, Tail Waggin' visitors will be treated to a visit by Snoopy, from the Peanuts gang and Chase from the kids show "Paw Patrol." The evening's "Telling Tales" theme features doggy stories. Entertainment will be provided by Robin's Dog Stars Dog Training. Owners are encouraged to get in on the fun by snapping a photo of themselves and their pet by the Depot's big red chair and posting it on Facebook to Discover Dundee for a chance to win a prize. For the safety of owners and their pets, all dogs are required to be leashed by a flat leash. Retractable leashes are prohibited.

Tail Waggin' Tuesdays features vendors from the area that include Scoo-B-Do's Pet Grooming; Kriser's Natural Pet; Katydid Crafts; Bruno's Pro Bone O Pet Pantry; Two Paws Up Dog Treat Barkery, Inc.; Earth Heart; Chestnut & Grace Gourmet Dog Food and Zoey's Furry Friends Bakery; who will join Dundee Animal Hospital and Hoof, Woof & Meow Animal Rescue to provide pet supplies, treats and information regarding pet services and products.

On Friday, July 15, Morry Sochat & The Special 20s will take the stage from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lions Park, 151 Aldis Drive in East Dundee. They perform a great mix of blues, swing, jazz and 1950s rock n' roll. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. Dundee Township Lions Club will be selling concessions at this great outdoor event presented by the Village of East Dundee and the Dundee Township Park District.
