Northwest Indiana teen fatally shot outside his home
HAMMOND, Ind. (AP) - Police say a northwestern Indiana teenager was fatally shot while talking on the phone outside his home.
Hammond police say John Lee Hennington was shot about 1:30 a.m. Thursday and died about 35 minutes later at a hospital. Police said they don't have any suspects.
School City of Hammond Superintendent Walter Watkins tells The (Munster) Times (http://bit.ly/29xE2RE) that he believes a dispute on Facebook may have led to the fatal shooting, saying the dispute had been "ongoing for a while."
