Indiana teacher recovering after 2 days spent missing
LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) - A Lafayette teacher who went missing for nearly two days is home from the hospital.
Sam Perdue told the Lafayette Journal & Courier (http://on.jconline.com/290xF9q ) on Friday that his wife, Krista Perdue, was recovering.
Krista Perdue wandered away from her home Monday after apparently becoming disoriented from taking prescription medication.
The 42-year-old second-grade teacher was found 39 hours later at a retention pond about a quarter of a mile from her home. She was injured and dehydrated and told authorities she remembered slipping on the pond's bank and hitting her head.
