Real Urban BBQ's grilling class

Hone your grilling skills at Real Urban BBQ's grilling class beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 25. For beginners and experts, the two-hour class teaches you how to cook flat iron steak with charred tomatoes and grilled ratatouille. Each participant will be provided with a grill, knife, cutting board and seasonings, as well as the meat, seasonal fruits and vegetables. Prairie Grass Cafe's cake buffet

Finish off dinner at Prairie Grass Cafe Tuesday, June 28, with a dessert buffet. Prairie Grass Cafe's Sarah Stegner and Hungry Monkey Baking Company's Cindy Kienzle partnered to create a cake buffet that includes double dark chocolate cake with whipped cream and mascarpone buttercream; carrot cake with a buttermilk caramel glaze and cream cheese buttercream; chocolate cake with caramel sauce; hummingbird cake; and sticky toffee cake. $15 for the dessert buffet. Tokio's sushi school

Chef Patricio Cardenas teaches sushi tricks beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Tokio Pub. Learn how to roll maki and nigiri and get lessons in Japanese phrases and sushi etiquette.
