Numerous titles available at Bartlett Library for community book clubs
Local adult book clubs will be very happy to hear that the Bartlett Library now offers 40 titles to choose from that have 10 copies each available for check-out.
Adult Services Librarian Carrie Straka is the one that came up with the idea.
"[Having so many copies of the different books] filled a need that we saw in the library," Straka said. "[In the new collection] there are many great titles with a mix of both fiction and nonfiction."
Before this new collection, book clubs found it difficult because they had to wait for all the necessary books to come in. Now they won't have to worry about waiting for the books to come in on interlibrary loans anymore.
Similarly, the Bartlett Library has had a youth book collection series called "Book Discussions in a Bag." There are nine sets that each has around 10 books each. The age group varies depending on the books, but generally they are for 3rd to 5th graders.
