Hillary Clinton to address mayors meeting in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will address the annual meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors in downtown Indianapolis this upcoming weekend.
The campaign for the former secretary of state, first lady and New York senator announced Monday that Clinton is scheduled to address the meeting at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Raising awareness of issues that affect urban will be a major theme of the gathering of hundreds of mayors. Each presidential candidate was invited to attend.
The conference said in a news release that 85 percent of the country lives in a city or metro area, many of which face similar challenges.
