OAKMONT, Pa. (AP) - A brief look at the Friday's play in the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club (only 42 of 156 players have completed two rounds because of the rain-suspended first round):

LEADING: Dustin Johnson, who shot 67 and 69, and Andrew Landry, who played only one shot to complete his first round, are tied at 4 under.

PURSUING: Lee Westwood, who played five holes to complete his first round, is a stroke back.

SHOT(S) OF THE DAY: Justin Thomas holed out back-to-back chip shots on Nos. 7 and 8.

KEY STAT: After the entire field completed the first round, there were 11 scores in the 60s. That matches the number posted in the first round of four previous Opens at Oakmont.

NOTEWORTHY: Players who teed off Thursday for Round 1 finished, on average, two shots higher than their counterparts who began their first round on Friday.

QUOTEWORTHY: "I'm too old for this." - Sergio Garcia, when asked if he was tired after playing 36 holes.
