Fox Valley group looks at climate solutions
The Fox Valley Chapter of the Citizens' Climate Lobby will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the Hawthorne Hill Nature Center, 28 Brookside Drive, Elgin.
The speaker on the international call will be Bessie Schwarz, communications strategist for the Yale Program, on Climate Change Communication, managing media, and outreach analysis.
She has worked with Citizens' Climate Lobby to help groups leverage the polling information found in its Climate Opinion Maps, which provide state- and district-level detail on public opinion about climate change and climate solutions.
As the chapter approaches Lobby Day June 21, members will talk about how to use Yale's data in meetings on the Hill. They will be finalizing plans for the upcoming conference and lobby day.
