Villa Park cops investigating fatal crash

Villa Park police are continuing to investigate a fatal crash Friday night in which a 92-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed.

Police said the woman, who they have not yet named, was struck by a vehicle driven by a 73-year-old Chicago resident about 7:50 p.m. in a parking lot near 425 West St. Charles Road. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The victim, who lived in Villa Park, was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital by Villa Park paramedics where she died from her injuries.
