Palatine council to consider townhouse plan
The Palatine village council will consider a plan to build a 10-unit townhouse development within the existing Auburn Woods subdivision called Auburn Ridge.
Currently the space is occupied by a single-family home which is surrounded by Auburn Woods. Under the plan, the house would be demolished and several trees would be removed so the owner can build two five-unit townhouse buildings. A private road would be constructed that both of the new buildings would face.
The Auburn Woods subdivision is located off Northwest Highway just south of the Palatine Hills Golf Course.
According to village documents, village staff is in favor of the proposal.
