Suburban Indiana police search for brother of slain man

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (AP) - Police investigating a suburban Indianapolis town's first homicide in a decade are looking for the brother of the victim to learn what he knows.

Brownsburg police say witnesses report a car belonging to 28-year-old Justin Brabson was seen speeding away from the apartment he shared with his brother, 30-year-old Christopher Brabson.

Sgt. April Hyde says Christopher Brabson was found shot to death inside the apartment. Neighbors reported hearing three to five gunshots around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Hyde says it's unclear whether Justin Brabson was present at the shooting. She says a witness who saw the car leaving could not identify the driver. Officers located the car Friday.

Hyde says the most recent homicide inside the town about 15 miles west of Indianapolis was in 2006.
