See 'Incredible Bats!' Sunday at Lords Park Zoo

The Friends of Lords Park Zoo presents "Incredible Bats!" from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at the zoo, off Oakwood Boulevard on Elgin's east side.

Bat conservationists Dan and Sharon Peterson will have their African straw-colored and Egyptian fruit bats on display to the public. You'll be able to get an up-close look at these exotic animals, and ask the experts everything you've ever wanted to know about them. This is a free program; no registration required.

The zoo is also open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where many more species await you! Be sure to visit the bison, elk and deer among other farm animals during this free program in Lords Park.
