Washington Street closure delayed

The temporary closure of Washington Street at the railroad crossing in Grayslake scheduled for Friday, June 17 to Monday, June 20, has been postponed by the contractor. The closure will be rescheduled as this is a necessary part of the Washington Street underpass project, according to Lake County transportation officials. Another notice will be issued when the rescheduled closure dates are available. Part of the project calls for the tracks to be raised with Washington Street passing beneath.
