Rally in Waukegan

Lake County religious congregations will introduce Community Renewal Society on Saturday, June 7, from noon to 1 p.m., at Shiloh Baptist Church, 800 S. Genesee St., Waukegan, and will launch a summer organizing drive to build power and identify issues to address racial and economic disparities, organizers said. Elected officials, leaders of faith and a group of community members in a Waukegan church will give a call to action to address economic and racial issues in their neighborhoods, particularly in North Chicago, Waukegan and Zion.
