New leadership team at Most Blessed Trinity Academy

We are looking to the future with exciting changes and new initiatives to enhance the educational and spiritual experience at Most Blessed Trinity Academy. Father Jacque Beltran, pastor, Most Blessed Trinity and the Board of Specified Jurisdiction are very pleased to announce a new leadership team for the 2016-2017 school year following an extensive search by the Principal Search Committee.

Sandra Anderson has been named as principal of Most Blessed Trinity Academy effective July 1, 2016. Anderson has served since January, 2016, as the interim principal of Most Blessed Trinity Academy. She joined the academy's faculty in 2014 and served as the director of Curriculum and assistant to the principal. Prior to joining the MBTA family, Anderson served as principal, Oak Terrace School, District 112, Highland Park, and principal Plainfield School, District 62, Des Plaines. Anderson has more than 25 years of experience working as an administrator, an early childhood professional and a classroom teacher. Her credentials include: BA in Elementary and Special Education, Northeastern Illinois University; MA in Curriculum, Concordia University; National Louis University Certificate of Advanced Studies, Educational Leadership; Harvard University, Principal Seminar for Leadership; and State Committee. Mrs. Anderson is a gifted educator and dynamic leader who will bring vision, energy and enthusiasm to the role of Principal. In her new role, Mrs. Anderson looks to achieve excellence and to inspire success.

The leadership team is expanding to meet the needs of our growing school with Kyle Schmitt joining on July 1, 2016, as the director of Curriculum and assistant to the Principal. Schmitt has a BA with a double major in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Chicago and an MAED with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashford University. He comes to Most Blessed Trinity Academy with independent business experience as well as teaching experience at Our Lady of Humility School, Beach Park; Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart, Lake Forest; and the Bullis School, Potomac, MD. Schmitt has served as a teacher (math, science, health, technology), coach (football, basketball, baseball, MathCounts, debate), and administrator (MS Math department chair and technology coordinator). In those roles he has led faculty professional development (especially regarding technology integration in curriculum and instruction), designed new courses, curricula, and programs, used standardized test data to drive improvements in the academic programs, and built a collaborative culture. We welcome Mr. Schmitt and look forward to the added dimensions of business and education he will bring to the leadership team.
