Republicans reap what they've sown
House Speaker Ryan recently complained that the Democrats voted down the Republican appropriations bill as an act of "sabotage," as he described it. Imagine that! After eight years of Republicans voting down every single bill brought to Congress, as they vowed repeatedly to do immediately after President Obama's election, now they are complaining about the vote on one single bill. That's what they promised the day after his election; there is film, run frequently, of Sen. Mitch McConnell, A Kentucky Republican, proudly describing what the Republican strategy would be.
Now, how the table has turned! And the Democrats in Congress must be singing, "How sweet it is! How do you like them
apples?"
