Tentative teachers' deal reached in Naperville Dist. 203
The school board and teachers union in Naperville Unit District 203 have reached a tentative deal on a new three-year teachers' contract.
The agreement could become final Monday when the school board is set to vote during a meeting at 7 p.m. in the administration center, 200 W. Hillside Road.
Teachers in the Naperville Unit Education Association approved the deal May 26. The union represents 1,390 teachers in the district, which serves roughly 16,000 students at an early childhood center, 14 elementary schools, five junior highs and two high schools.
The new deal would follow a three-year contract that lasted through the end of the current school year.
The district and Mark Bailey, president of the Naperville Unit Education Association, said they would wait to release details of the agreement until after the school board takes action.
