Older adults can take advantage of free NCH programs in June

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (June 1, 2016) - Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is hosting several free programs for adults over age 55 in June at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights. Some programs require registration. Call the Senior Center at 847-253-5532 for more information. You do not need to be an Arlington Heights resident to attend.

• Thursday, June 2 - How to care for aging skin - 11 a.m. to noon

• Wednesday, June 8 - Healthy cooking demonstration: Healthy eating for life - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Wednesday, June 8 - Managing your diabetes 101 - 5 to 6:30 p.m.

• Thursday, June 9 - Anxiety education and support group - 10 to 11 a.m.

• Monday, June 13 - Depression support group - 10 to 11 a.m.

• Tuesday, June 14 - Diabetes education and support group: Exercise - 9 to 10:30 a.m.

• Wednesday, June 15 - Parkinson's support group - 6:30 to 8 p.m.

• Thursday, June 16 - Dealing with mental health issues - 11 a.m. to noon

• Thursday, June 16 - Brainwaves stroke support group - 2 to 3:30 p.m.

• Thursday, June 23 - Train the Brain - 11 a.m. to noon

• Tuesday, June 28 - Hope and healing grief support group - 9 to 10:30 a.m.
