Arlington Heights Farmers Market Opens Saturday, June 4

Saturday, June 4, is opening day of the Arlington Heights Farmers Market. The market features fresh local produce, artisan baked goods and cheese, grass-fed and free range meats, Michigan cherries and more.

The Farmers Market is located at Vail and Fremont streets, across from the Arlington Heights Historical Museum and Arlington Heights Library. All proceeds of the Farmer's Market benefit the Arlington Heights Historical Society, who manages the market.

To kick off the season, the Arlington Heights Police will be at the market with its "Befriend a Badge" trading card program. The vintage Arlington Heights police car will also be on display. Activities and community resources also include Master Gardener, Friends of the Library, Arlington Heights Garden Club and Mr. Al and his guitar. The museum gallery and grounds are also open during the Farmers Market. The market is bike, stroller and pet friendly, so bring the kids and dogs for a relaxing morning at the Farmers Market and museum.

The Arlington Heights Historical Society is a partner of the Arlington Heights Historical Museum, 110 N. Fremont St. For information about the Farmers Market, the Historical Society and the museum, call (847) 255-1225 or visit ahmuseum.org.
