Rosemont concert series starts Sunday

MB Financial Park in Rosemont will kick off its 16-show Rockin' in the Park summer concert series Sunday with a Memorial Day cookout featuring $2 tastings from nearby restaurants, music from Maggie Speaks and The Blooze Brothers, and fireworks to follow.

The event at the park, located east of the Tri-State Tollway and north of Balmoral Avenue, runs from 3 to 9:30 p.m. Most of the subsequent concerts will be held Thursday nights, including 7th Heaven on June 2.

The first of the 14-week Country in the Park concert series kicks off at 7 p.m. Tuesday with performers Jacob Davis and Sam Grow.
